PIERCING AFTERCARE:
IMPORTANT RULES TO FOLLOW:

-
Clean with saline solution 2-3x a day
-
Do NOT touch your piercing with dirty fingers.
-
Avoid laying on your fresh piercing
-
Make sure to keep your piercing dry
-
Do NOT rotate your new piercing. This encourages unnecessary handling and causes irritation.
-
If you think you have an infection, contact your piercer or a physician immediately.
** fresh piercings can be quite tender during the healing process **
Piercing Care for Oral Piercings:
-
Rinse your mouth with alcohol-free mouthwash every couple hours or anytime you eat/drink/smoke.
-
Brush your teeth twice a day and be sure to carefully brush your tongue as well.
-
Do a thorough salt water rinse once daily: a pinch of sea salt in a shot glass of warm water. It is suggested to do this right before bed
-
Tongue piercings can be very uncomfortable. You can expect swelling and mild soreness for 3 to 5 days.
-
Anthony’s Body Piercing recommends a return visit one to two weeks after piercing to downsize to a smaller barbell (and plastic balls for tooth health). For lip piercings, also follow the healing procedure below.
TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR PIERCING AS STATED ABOVE AND IF YOU EVER HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE NEVER HESITATE TO CONTACT US. ANTHONY AND HIS TEAM ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP. OTHERWISE VISITING A DOCTOR IS ALWAYS ANOTHER OPTION.
